The name Formosa dates from 1544, when Portuguese sailors sighted the main island of Taiwan and named it Ilha Formosa, which means “beautiful island.” Formosa Chinese Restaurant was established in 1994 by chef Oliver Chang and Ginny Hoover. Formosa’s products are made from authentic, fresh ingredients and cooked to order for every guest. The flavors within the Formosa dishes have been “sculpted” to fulfill a diversity of palates with special attention to the “American palate”. The Formosa experience ensures every guest has a premier fast casual dining experience while enjoying the tastes and quality found in fine dining establishments.
